Questions?
Frequently Asked Questions
Every 6 months is the standard recommendation for most patients. However, some patients with gum disease or a higher cavity risk may need more frequent visits — we'll advise you on what's right for you.
Modern fillings are placed under local anaesthetic, so the procedure itself is comfortable. You may have some sensitivity for a day or two afterward, but this settles quickly. We also offer numbing gel before the injection for extra comfort.
A standard scale and clean removes plaque and tartar from above the gumline. A deep clean (scaling and root planing) goes below the gumline to treat gum disease. Your check-up will determine which is appropriate for you.
Absolutely. Many dental problems, including cavities, gum disease, and even early oral cancer, don't cause pain until they're well advanced. Regular check-ups catch these early — when they're cheaper and easier to treat.
